And so it begins....

Another crunchy mom blog...that's what the world needs!  Maybe.  Maybe not.  Maybe I just need it and maybe this is all just for me....to expose my heart....to share what I have learned....to keep a database for things I find interesting....to have a place to talk with like-minded folks....and create a place for safe dialogue for those that are "un-like-minded."  I have lots of reasons and for years, I've been dreaming of this blog.  Running a household, schooling children, being active in our home church, paying bills, etc, can leave the heart wondering what to do with all of the creative thoughts that run aimlessly through it.  So, here, with whomever wants to journey along side my thoughts, I've decided to direct them.

For now, some basics about myself:
 - I love Jesus.  I'm hoping foremost that what you read points you to Him.  By God's grace alone, He'll help me accomplish that.  I often get in His way, trip people up who are/were en route to Him, and get distracted myself.  I'm so grateful for His rich mercy to love me, in spite of all this.
 - I love my husband.  He's a keeper.  Forever.  He's definitely the Advocate Daddy.  We do life together.  It's not a perfect relationship, but we make it work with lots of "I'm sorry"s and laughs.
 - I have 4 children.  They keep me on my toes and I love having a bigger family.  I'm sure that they will come up in future posts.
 - I chose the name of this blog based on the passion I feel I am to be my family's first voice and support and that no one knows what is best for my family more than I do.  As I rely on God's wisdom and fully invest my efforts in educating myself about what's best for them, I am confident that I am living out my purpose and will make the best decisions.

So, if you just stumbled here or if your visit was on purpose, I'm glad you are here.  And I hope you'll come back soon.   My goal is to address many facets of the many interests and passions God has put in my heart and maybe we can learn a few things from each other.
